When
working with eBeam hardware and software, keep in mind the
following:
-
Keep eBeam sleeves perpendicular to the whiteboard
when writing.
- The
signal transmitter is in the marker sleeve just
behind the tip of the marker. Grasp the sleeve a
little behind the tip so that your fingers do not
block the signal.
- Replace
the sleeve cap on the EXPO markers when you are
not using it just as you would cap any other marker
to keep the ink from drying out. The eBeam cap also
prevents the marker from accidentally sending signals
when it's not in use.
- Keep
eraser pad flat against the whiteboard when erasing.
- To
prolong the life of eraser batteries, avoid resting
the eraser on the pad.
- When
you press down on the marker or eraser, a low hum
is emitted. If the pen
or eraser doesn't make any noise, it could be time
to replace the batteries.
- If
you lose your eBeam mouse insert, you can purchase
a new insert from our online
store, or you can leave the cap off of one of
the EXPO markers allowing it to dry out. Then use
the dried out marker as the eBeam mouse insert.
