EFI Ships World's Most Compact Digital Whiteboard System

Award-winning eBeam® hardware now available in dealer channel

Foster City, CA - February 13, 2002 - Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI®) (NASDAQ: EFII), the world leader in software and hardware imaging solutions for network printing, today announced that the eBeam System 3 digital whiteboard appliance, the next generation of eBeam® hardware, is now shipping worldwide. With a sleeker, more portable design and improved digital technology, the award-winning eBeam system is the smallest, lightest and most efficient digital whiteboard solution on the market.

Recently awarded Presentation Magazine’s "Standing Ovation Award" for computer peripherals, the eBeam System captures meeting notes and diagrams as they are created on whiteboards and broadcasts them over the Internet or corporate intranet in real-time. The hardware has been designed to be even more portable and lightweight. At only five ounces, the hand-sized unit is versatile enough to attach to the corner of any whiteboard or flipchart. It also includes a bracket for optional permanent installations. The eBeam System 3 hardware is now available in both serial and native USB versions and ships with both Macintosh™ and PC system software.

“The eBeam System 3 raises the bar in flexibility and convenience for digital whiteboard systems,” says Rafi Holtzman, General Manager, eBeam. “Under current economic conditions, businesses and schools must be even more creative and efficient in their use of space and equipment. Since the eBeam System 3 appliance works with existing whiteboards, users can take a familiar tool that they already have in their offices and classrooms and turn it into a more productive, digital communications system. Using eBeam remote meeting software allows virtual teams to have more effective distance meetings while saving time and travel costs.”

The eBeam System software supports synchronization of eBeam meeting files saved on Palm OS devices. The software also includes the eBeam Mouse application, which works with a digital projector to turn the display area into a virtual touchscreen. The eBeam software is available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian and Japanese.

Availability
The eBeam System 3 digital whiteboard appliance is available through selected dealers. For a complete listing of dealers and distributors, visit http://www.luidia.com/buy/. MSRP is $699 for eBeam System 3 Serial and $749 for eBeam System 3 USB.
