Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI) (NASDAQ: EFII), the

announced today the introduction of the eBeam™
ImagePort™ accessory, the first whiteboard system
that allows data to be beamed to a Palm™ handheld
computer.
The
ImagePort connects any existing eBeam system to a printer
and enables users to print whiteboard notes and drawings
or beam them directly to an infrared(IR)-capable device
without a computer. The eBeam system instantly captures
meeting notes and diagrams as they are created on existing
whiteboards. Unlike other whiteboard solutions, the ImagePort
accessory has the ability to "beam" or synchronize the
whiteboard data directly to a Palm™ handheld computer
or IR-enabled PC, where it can be viewed, saved, e-mailed
or printed.
ImagePort
features an easy, three-step set up process and simple
interface that allows users to clear, save, print or beam
their presentation information.

Minimum
Requirements
The ImagePort unit requires the eBeam system and a printer.
The device can beam data via the IR port to a Palm handheld
computer running v3.0 or higher of the Palm OS® operating
system. The ImagePort accessory is expected to support
other devices based upon the Palm OS and other IRDA-compatible
devices in the future. A list of compatible printers and
instructions for beaming data can be obtained from www.luidia.com.

and other eBeam resellers for an estimated MSRP of $249.
